Rental Conditions
General Rental and Vehicle Delivery Conditions valid between us (Europcar Türkiye – FAZ Oto Kiralama A.Ş.) and the Lessor (Customer)
1. Your Agreement with Us
In addition to all Europcar Rental Conditions, our customers who wish to rent a Europcar Caravan are also obliged to meet the conditions below.
By signing this contract, you accept our Rental Conditions. Please read carefully. If there are any issues that you do not understand, you can ask the employees of the office you rented from. If you have any complaints or questions about your rental upon your return, please state these before terminating the rental contract. If for any reason you cannot find answers to your questions or solve your problem at the office you rented from, write to our customer service department at our headquarters within 45 days. Europcar will not accept liability if this procedure is not followed.
Documents and conditions required for rental
The license and age requirements for renting are as follows for the renter and additional drivers:
Economic Group: Having a valid driver's license for at least 1 year and being at least 21 years old.
Medium Group: At least 2 years valid driver's license and 23 years of age or older.
SUV Group: At least 2 years valid driver's license and 25 years of age or older.
Minivan, Premium and Luxury Group: Valid driver's license for at least 3 years and being at least 27 years old.
Motor Caravan: Must have a valid driver's license for at least 3 years and be 25 years or older.
Credit Score
Have a valid Fanaliz rating.
Driving licence
Users who do not use a Latin alphabet driver's license (Russia, China, Arab Countries, Greece, etc.) must present their valid international driver's license and passport (if they are not Turkish citizens) along with their own driver's license at the time of rental.
Vehicle Group
Your reservation is confirmed by guaranteeing the vehicle group. There is no brand guarantee. However, when you go to the relevant office, you can get a vehicle from the brand in the group you reserved, if there is availability.
Credit Card – Payment Terms
Online - immediate payment indicates that the rental fee and selected additional service fees will be paid online. If other services are purchased in addition to the rental, the fee for these services can be paid at the sales office when picking up the vehicle. During online payment, the cardholder and the reservation holder do not have to be the same person, but they must be able to present a credit card belonging to them during the rental and the deposit transaction must be made.
If Europcar Türkiye cannot perform the rental service due to reasons attributable to it, the entire amount paid by the customer in advance is refunded.
During the rental, a block of 4,000.- TL - 10,000.- TL will be placed on your valid credit card issued in your name according to the vehicle groups and exemption amounts. Depending on banking transactions, the blocked fee will be reflected in your account if there is no additional payment obligation after the end of your rental. This period may extend up to 10 - 15 business days depending on banking transactions. The reason for the delay here is not Europcar Turkey, but banking operations. Cash block and cash payment will not be accepted in the offices. In prepaid reservations, if there is not enough limit on the credit card for the blocked amount, including the rental fee if it is not prepaid, if a valid credit card cannot be presented in the name of the tenant or if the driver's license conditions cannot be met, the vehicle will not be provided even if the reservation is approved. The above-mentioned conditions are also valid for reservations made with the on-site payment option. In Upper and Luxury class rentals, the tenant must have 2 credit cards in his/her own name, the rental and deposit fees are collected at the office.
Provision Fees
Economic Group: 4000 TL.
Middle Group: 4500 TL.
SUV Group: 5500 TL
Minivan, Premium and Luxury Group: 6500 TL - 10000 TL (2 Credit Cards)
Exemption Fees (CDW)
Economic Group: 30,000 TL.
Middle Group: 40,000 TL.
SUV Group: 50,000 TL
Minivan: 50,000 TL
Prestige, Premium, SUV+: 60,000 TL
Luxury : 70.000 TL
Rental Period
The rental period is calculated over 24-hour periods. The monthly rental period is calculated over 30 days. Your rental starts from the time written on the rental contract and is calculated as 1 rental day when the 24-hour period ends.
According to international Europcar conditions, the period up to 24 hours from the time written on the rental contract is calculated as 1 day, and no daily rental fee is charged for delays exceeding 24 hours up to 59 minutes. For delays exceeding 59 minutes (daily calculated services include navigation, additional driver, insurance, child seat etc.), a daily rental fee is charged.
Vehicles are limited to 400 km per day, and a maximum of 4000 km for 10 days and above. If the km is exceeded during the rental period, an additional fee will be charged for each km exceeded, depending on the rented vehicle group.
One Way Rentals
If the pick-up and drop-off stations are in different cities during the reservation, a one-way fee determined by Europcar Türkiye will be charged according to the features between the two stations.
Vehicle delivery or drop-off outside office working hours
If you want to pick up or drop off your vehicle outside of office working hours, you must pay 350 TL (VAT included). This fee will be charged separately if both your pick up and drop off times are outside of office working hours. For this service request, an agreement must be reached with the office where the service will be received, based on the availability of the office and personnel.
If the pick-up and drop-off stations are in different cities during the reservation, a one-way fee determined by Europcar Türkiye will be charged according to the features between the two stations.
Extension
The renter is obliged to notify the relevant office of the extension request for the vehicle he/she uses at least 1 day (24 hours) before the end of the rental period. The extension request can be made with the approval of the relevant rental office. The extension fee can be requested at Europcar prices according to the terms of the agreement.
Online reservation conditions, reservation change, cancellation or no-show
In prepaid reservations, rental day, time, vehicle information cannot be updated or changed. In case of a change in reservation, the reservation must be cancelled. The cancellation and refund conditions stated below apply. After cancellation, a new reservation can be made according to the desired change.
The discount earned through prepaid reservation cannot be combined with any other campaign.
In a rental made with a prepaid reservation, if the rental period exceeds the return date stated in the reservation form, the additional fee that will occur when the rental agreement is extended will be collected from the credit card presented by our customer at the beginning of the rental, at the Europcar list prices valid on the date of the extension.
Cancellations made 24 hours before the reservation start date and time are free of charge. For cancellations made 24 hours before, 1 day's rental fee is charged and the remaining fee is refunded. (No refunds will be made for 1 day reservations)
Refunds for prepaid reservations will be reflected on your card within 5-21 business days, depending on the transaction volume of the banks.
For reservations made with prepayment and on-site payment, the reserved vehicle is guaranteed for 2 hours from the reservation time in all offices. If the vehicle is not picked up within this period, the reservation will be canceled and no refund will be made.
In case of cancellation after the vehicle pick-up time or in case of an unspecified cancellation request, the entire prepayment amount will be collected and no refund will be made. If the following conditions are not met, the vehicle will not be allocated and no refund will be made.
*Payment method is only credit card, cash payment and debit card are not accepted.
*The provision amount, which varies depending on the rental and vehicle groups, must be provided from the person's credit card. The credit card must contain the name and surname of the person who will be renting.
*In addition to the rental fee, there must be a sufficient limit for the deposit amount to be placed on the credit card.
* To rent a higher segment vehicle, it is mandatory to present 1 credit card from a different bank.
Please do not forget to write your flight number when making your reservation in order to avoid any delays that may occur due to the flight number not being written down in the airport offices.
In case of force majeure* situations, the prepaid fee will be refunded in full. In addition, cancellation and No Show fees will not be reflected.
For prepaid reservations made using a third party source other than Europcar Türkiye, the rules and practices of the relevant organization or source apply.
- Unused days
Prepaid reservations made earlier than the due date will not be refunded. Any change request regarding the return date must be made through our Europcar central reservation department or the relevant office before the rental starts. Any change requests made at or after the rental start are invalid.
- Change
You can make your domestic reservation change request to our Europcar reservation center via e-mail at rezervasyon@europcar.com.tr or by calling 0850 377 0 377. For prepaid reservations originating from abroad, you must submit your request through the channel you made the reservation.
2. Responsibilities of the Lessor and Additional Driver
a) The vehicle, its accessories and keys (other keys if any) are your responsibility. Keep the vehicle locked whenever you are not using it and use any security devices provided to you or installed in the vehicle. You must protect the vehicle against adverse weather conditions that may cause damage. Make sure you use the correct and appropriate fuel. Check the oil and engine temperature levels and keep the tire pressures at the correct levels.
b) It is your responsibility to drive safely, complying with road conditions and speed limits.
c) As long as the rental contract continues, you must use the car in accordance with the Highway Traffic Law No. 2918 dated 13.10.1983 and the Traffic Rules No. 26901, as the "owner" of the vehicle. You are responsible for any crimes, parking tickets, and traffic fines that may arise later. In addition, if requested, you are obliged to provide all requested information regarding yourself and the additional driver with you. If you do not provide this information completely and fully, you are fully responsible. Due to the obligations explained in this paragraph, the rental contract will remain in effect until the vehicle is returned to us.
All vehicles in our fleet are equipped with HGS. When your rental period ends, your HGS usage information reaches our offices and the toll fee is collected from your credit card. Since the collection process regarding the toll fee is affiliated with the General Directorate of Highways, it is possible that the collection may be made later than the usual periods.
If you pass through the OGS toll booths with our vehicles equipped with HGS; you will have made an illegal pass. The illegal toll fee (as in other traffic violations) is paid to the relevant state institutions by Europcar and the illegal toll fee (as in other traffic violations) is collected from the credit card presented during the rental process.
d) All damages that occur as a result of the vehicle hitting low-level places such as bridges and potholes, being used in mountainous terrain, swamps and beaches, and damages resulting from water entering the engine or other parts of the vehicle due to being used in these places are your responsibility. You should not make any changes to the vehicle. Please contact our offices for roof racks or bicycle carrier hangers. You are responsible for any practices not approved by us.
e) You cannot sell, rent or dispose of the vehicle or any of its parts. You cannot grant any person legal rights over the vehicle and you cannot transfer your own rights. For safety reasons, under no circumstances should you top up the brake, clutch, transmission oil or engine coolant fluid levels. If any warning lights come on on the dashboard or if low oil levels are observed, contact us immediately.
f) You must not allow anyone to work on the vehicle without written permission. If we give you approval, you will be paid if you document the expenses related to the work done.
g) If you detect any problem with the vehicle, you must immediately notify us.
h) You must bring the vehicle to the location we have agreed upon with you during our normal working hours. The condition of the vehicle must be checked, viewed and collected by our employees or authorized persons. If you are unable to check the condition of the vehicle or if we have agreed with you to return the vehicle outside of working hours, you will be responsible for any damages that may occur until the condition is determined by our authorized person or our employee within 4 hours of the start of the following business day.
i) In case of any changes made to the vehicle without our approval, expenses we may incur to restore it to its pre-rental condition (for example, extra repair time or necessary materials and tools), or damage to the interior of the vehicle, the renter is responsible for any damages that may occur as a result of the use of any electrical or electronic equipment connected to or inside the vehicle. Use the devices you will use in accordance with the user manuals and obtain information on the subject from the office staff.
3. Special Items
At the end of the rental, please check if there are any personal belongings in the vehicle. The renter is responsible for personal belongings left in the vehicle.
4. Conditions Required for Using the Vehicle
The conditions that the renter or any other additional drivers specified on the contract must comply with are stated below:
- You must not use the vehicle for racing, speeding, testing the vehicle's durability or speed, or teaching someone else to drive.
- You should not drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- You must not use the vehicle outside Turkey unless we give you written permission.
- You should not carry more passengers than the vehicle's stated passenger capacity.
- You and any other driver named in the contract must not use it to push or pull any other vehicle or item, whether moving or not, unless we give our written consent (except for vehicles fitted with a tow hook by Europcar; maximum load 1,000 kg).
- You must not use it to transport passengers or goods for an open or hidden gain.
- You should not use it to transport items that are against customs regulations and other laws or for other illegal activities.
- Transport of flammable or hazardous materials, as well as toxic, corrosive, radioactive or other harmful substances,
- - transporting anything that, due to its smell or condition, damages the vehicle or causes Europcar to lose time or money in re-rental of the vehicle, - transporting live animals (excluding pets, subject to prior permission from Europcar),
- - re-rental or use by other persons, - with roof racks, luggage carriers or similar items, unless supplied by Europcar,
- Carrying passengers for hire or reward, -
- Participating in rallies, competitions or trials, giving driving lessons wherever they are, -
- Traveling on unpaved roads, roads whose surface or state of repair may endanger the vehicle's wheels, tires or mechanics under the body,
- None of the goods and luggage carried in the vehicle (including packaging and stacking equipment) can damage the vehicle or put passengers at risk,
- Must comply with the Highway Code, road traffic laws or other similar laws.
5. Fees
Fees to be paid are as follows;
a) Rental and other fees specified in this vehicle delivery receipt.
b) The total of any fees, losses, damages, expenses, costs or liabilities arising from failure to comply with the rules specified in the “Your Responsibilities” section of the article.
c) Fuel filling service fee; Unless there is an external situation, our vehicles are delivered with a full tank and you are requested to return them in the same manner. If you do not return the fuel at the level we gave you at the beginning of the rental, the fuel fee will be collected from the amount stated on the Vehicle Delivery Receipt or from the amount stated in the brochures printed on the counter at the place where you rented, or by adding a service fee of 350 TL (20% VAT included) to the current pump sales prices.
d) All tolls (bridge, highway, ferry, etc.), traffic fines and court expenses incurred due to parking or other traffic offenses (also includes costs that may arise due to the impounding of the vehicle) and damages that may arise in the event of confiscation of the vehicle.
i. Any penalty or fee charged by an institution.
ii. Traffic fines paid on your behalf or costs that may arise will be collected with a service fee of 150 TL (20% VAT included) to the legally discounted amount.
iii. Your HGS usage during your rental period will be charged a service fee of 150 TL (20% VAT included) after the end of the rental period.
iv. A Damage service fee of 500 TL (including 20% VAT) will be collected for procedures such as managing the service process of the vehicle due to damage, etc. (may vary depending on the selected Assurance package).
vi. During the winter season, a daily fee of 350 TL (including 20% VAT) is requested for winter tires on vehicles.
e) Costs for repairing damages that are not specified in the Vehicle Condition Report at the end of the rental period and that occur regardless of whether you are at fault or not, the cost of replacing the vehicle in case of theft, and the fees that will occur in line with the guarantees specified at the beginning of the rental period (explained in article 6).
f) A loss of use fee corresponding to the repair time of damages caused by user error or the period we wait for the payment of the vehicle's price in the event of theft (45 days).
g) Damages that may arise due to the detention of the vehicle by the police for any reason and the fees for the days we cannot rent the vehicle.
h) Fees that may arise for returning and picking up the vehicle.
i) If you fail to pay your debt on time, a late payment penalty will be applied according to the monthly loan interest rates of the Central Bank.
j) VAT and other taxes applied to the above-mentioned fees (VAT rate changes or officially announced additional taxes)
6. Our Damage Protection Program
Our guarantees are explained below. The descriptions are general and for informational purposes only. Europcar reserves the right to change this information from time to time. The guarantees included in your booking are included in your price quote and/or booking confirmation.
You can purchase the guarantees that are not included in your prices from our sales offices at the beginning of the rental period. You can also get detailed information about the valid limits from our sales offices.
a) We have a legal obligation to insure against third parties. If you injure, kill or materially damage someone's property as a result of an accident, the officially stated traffic insurance limits apply (the limits within the scope of traffic insurance apply to damages that may occur to property). By obtaining IMM insurance, you can provide coverage against third parties in possible accidents that exceeds the legal limits covered by traffic insurance.
b) If you have purchased CDW / THW (Exempt Damage Protection Package - Theft Protection Package) as stated on the Vehicle Delivery Receipt, the damage or theft occurring in the vehicle is under our coverage. The exemption of this coverage indicates that you are obliged to make a partial payment. You are obliged to pay the current exemption fee stated on the Vehicle Delivery Receipt or in our brochures or documents. You can get information about damage exemption fees and coverage from our offices and reservation center.
c) If you purchase the LCF protection package, the costs of tire bursts and splits, and the breakage of the vehicle's windows, headlights, signal lights and exterior mirrors that occur without a traffic accident are covered.
Situations Not Covered by Damage Insurance Packages:
- Any accident in which the person driving the car is under the influence of alcohol or drugs exceeding the legal limit.
- The car is tied up by traffic due to its driver
- Hitting the bottom of the car (starter connecting rod, crankcase) without any accident
- Car seat upholstery burns, liquid spills, delivered extremely dirty
- Damages resulting from using the car in places and roads that are not suitable for traffic, such as mountainous terrain, sand, marshland, beaches, etc., for purposes, in places and on roads that are not suitable for traffic, in rallies, speed tests, motor sports and in areas closed to traffic.
- The renter is responsible for any damages or malfunctions that occur as a result of negligence, carelessness or excessive force, as determined and reported by authorized services.
- Theft of your personal belongings from the car, theft of the vehicle keys, falling into water, loss of registration, plate and/or equipment, hubcaps and spare wheel, loss and damage of additional rented products,
- Accidents or damages involving a driver not registered in the contract
- Damages resulting from natural disasters.
- Damages resulting from transporting animals without a cage in the car.
- All kinds of damages, including mechanical and electrical damages, that occur due to usage error and/or carelessness, negligence, etc. (including, but not limited to, transmission failure due to incorrect gear changes, damages that may occur due to continuing to use the vehicle even though the warning light is on, failures and damages caused by fuel, etc.)
- Damages caused by vandalism, terrorism or social events
- Expenses, damages etc. incurred as a result of inaccurate or incomplete information provided during the rental period.
- Force majeure:
IN MUTUAL AND UNILATERAL TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS, THE TENANT MUST PROVIDE AN ACCIDENT REPORT AND AN ALCOHOL REPORT. IF THE RELATED REPORT IS NOT PREPARED, THE TENANT IS FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES THAT OCCURRENCE.
Important Notes
- In the event of an accident, it is mandatory to draw up an accident report appropriate to the type of accident without changing the location of the vehicle, or to apply to the nearest police or gendarmerie station and obtain accident, theft and alcohol detection reports immediately and within 24 hours, and to inform the Full Support Line at +90 850 475 00 00, which is available 24/7.
- In case of theft of the vehicle, it is mandatory to contact the nearest police or gendarmerie station immediately and within 24 hours and inform the Full Support Line at +90 850 475 00 00 7/24. Otherwise, all purchased guarantees will be deemed invalid and all damages, including material and moral losses incurred to third parties, will be collected from the tenant. In case of vehicle breakdown or need for support for any reason, assistance should be obtained from the 7/24 service at +90 850 475 00 00.
- Please make sure that the Vehicle return and collection form is filled out and signed at the beginning of the rental and upon return.
- To extend the rental period and inform us of the return time and day, please call the office where you made the rental or our Reservation Center.
- In case of an accident, vehicle breakdown or need for support for any reason during your rental, please call our Full Support Line at +90 850 475 00 00.
- In the event of a ONE-SIDED accident of the vehicle, accident, theft and alcohol detection reports must be obtained by applying to the nearest police or gendarmerie station without changing the location of the vehicle.
- In DOUBLE-SIDED accidents, except for the situations stated in the following items, drivers are obliged to fill out the Material Damage Accident Report in the manner specified on the report, depending on how the accident occurred.
- In double-sided accidents, the traffic accident report is prepared by the traffic police only in the following cases:

- In case of a double-sided accident, obtain a photocopy or legible image of the driver's license, registration and traffic insurance policies of the party/parties,
- If the driver is a minor,
- Obtaining multiple images of the accident scene, its shape and location, showing the license plate of the vehicle,
- Not leaving the vehicle without taking adequate safety precautions,
- If the driver is suspected of being mentally ill or under the influence of alcohol,
- If the driver uses a motor vehicle without a license,
- If one of the vehicles involved in the accident has an official license plate,
- If there is damage to public property,
- If the accident only damages the belongings of third parties,
- If one of the vehicles involved in the accident does not have traffic insurance,
- If the traffic accident resulted in death or injury,
- If you cannot agree with the other driver in case of an accident
7. Data Security
Within the scope of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data numbered 6698 ("Law"), your personal data may be processed for the construction of contractual processes such as sales, after-sales support, rental, by FAZ Otomotiv A.Ş. ("Europcar Turkey") as the Data Controller, within the framework explained below, to offer products and services, advantages or campaigns, to provide all kinds of communication including information, promotion, marketing and sales, to follow up and execute legal processes and communication processes with official institutions, and to be able to send commercial electronic messages for these purposes, to fulfill the obligations specified in the legislation, to determine the identity of the person performing the transaction/having the transaction performed, to be able to organize records and documents in electronic or printed form, to fulfill the obligations of document storage, reporting and information stipulated in the legislation and for statistical purposes.
For the purposes specified above, your personal data may be transferred to supervisory and regulatory authorities and relevant public institutions, professional organizations and similar organizations; to persons or organizations permitted by the provisions of the legislation, to persons and organizations from whom services are received and cooperated in order to carry out their activities subject to the purposes specified in the legislation, and to support service providers to the extent permitted by the legislation.
Your personal data may be collected verbally, in writing or electronically; by fully or partially automatic means or non-automatic means as part of any data recording system, based on the legal grounds specified in Article 5 of the Law, such as “It is clearly prescribed by law”, “Provided that it is directly related to the establishment or execution of a contract, the processing of personal data belonging to the parties to the contract is necessary”, “It is mandatory for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligation”, “Data processing is mandatory for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right” and “Provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the relevant person, the processing of data is mandatory for the legitimate interests of the data controller”.
